metal structured packing
Metal Structured Packing is a high-performance stainless steel column packing made from corrugated or mesh metal sheets, designed for superior separation efficiency and low pressure drop. With its unique honeycomb structure and large surface area, this mesh structured packing ensures excellent vapor-liquid contact and uniform flow distribution. Manufactured from stainless steel, carbon steel, or aluminum alloy, metal corrugate packing is ideal for distillation, absorption, and purification processes in chemical, petrochemical, and gas industries.
Metal Structured Packing is a highly efficient type of stainless steel column packing made of thin corrugated metal sheets or stainless steel wire mesh. Each layer is corrugated and stacked at alternating orientations, forming an open honeycomb structure that enhances vapor-liquid contact. This design allows uniform gas and liquid distribution, low pressure drop, and excellent mass transfer performance.
The mesh structured packing is produced by punching and stretching stainless steel plates into diamond-shaped mesh sheets, which are then corrugated and assembled into structured layers. It combines the advantages of both wire mesh packing and metal plate corrugated packing—offering high efficiency and cost-effective performance. The diamond mesh structure is covered by a liquid film, and the uneven surface enhances turbulence and mixing, increasing the renewal rate of the liquid film.
Metal corrugate packing features a grooved and perforated surface design that improves liquid wettability and distribution, providing higher separation efficiency and resistance to fouling. It is widely used in chemical, petrochemical, fertilizer, and gas processing industries where high-performance separation is required.
