The Metal Cascade Mini Ring is a high-performance random tower packing designed to offer superior mechanical strength and gas throughput capacity compared to traditional Pall rings. With one or two bevel edges on its sidepieces, this innovative packing type improves mass transfer efficiency by allowing more effective liquid film formation and enhancing gas-liquid contact. In a random packed tower, most of the rings make point contacts (not linear contact) with each other, contributing to increased mass transfer efficiency and improved liquidity of the liquid film.
Developed based on the classic Raschig ring, the Metal Cascade Mini Ring features a low aspect ratio (1/3 or 1/2 of Height/Diameter). This design ensures that the majority of the ring surfaces are oriented vertically rather than horizontally, offering significant advantages in mass transfer and reducing resistance when the gas flows through the packed bed. The packing material is available in carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloys, and other materials, providing a durable and versatile solution for various industrial applications.
